Namine just shook her head. "Riku, he's not," she managed, trying to get back to the bed. She didn't think they would be bringing him if he was dead, but he didn't look well at all.
Conrad came into the room just as the Princess was demanding what was going on.
"Everyone please move out of the way," he said. "Your Highness', please. If you could move outside." He really didn't want the little Princess to see her brother like this.
Kairi was shaking, but Aerith pushed her out of the room. Kairi hid against her anyway as the Prince's stretcher came hurrying down the hall. She put her hand in her niece's hair gently trying to calm her even as her own throat was closing up.
Conrad started helping Namine with the bed, putting a sheet atop the sackcloth that would likely have to be burned later. "Riku, out of the way or out of the room," he commanded. It was a big room so if he wanted to just stand out of the way that was fine.
Barty helped hold the doors wide open so the Prince's stretcher could be brought in. For how much red he was wearing now, you would think he had dressed in it. He was still distinctly breathing, but that was about it at this point.
"Roxas?" Aerith asked, shocked to see her son there. What on Earth was her son doing here?! Kairi moved back so Aerith could grab onto her son as squeeze as hard as she could, dirt and cold armor and all. Then she grabbed Hayner and pulled him against her as well. "My boys..."
