It was everything Sora could do to not stare up at the wall and look for Riku. Or go find him to check on him. Or even have someone ELSE go find him to check on him.
The Prince thought about it while he licked his spoon clean and set it back in his empty bowl.
General Weller was silent a moment too. "We could go out and end this before it begins." He added to General Rotharr's advice.
Sora waved a guard over. "Get more water up to the wall right away." He was silent again, staring down at his bowl.
"I am worried about such a bold move," he said quietly, and he knew that the Generals understood what he was talking about. Not just worried they would fail. Worried for all his soldiers, for all these men, for his own life. That he'd be ordering them to what looked like a suicide for Pride's sake.
"We have a safe place to retreat to," Conrad replied. "We can strike from two sides if we send men out the back entrance. Opening the front gates is risky, but we can cover our own retreat by the wall and shut them out if we have to."
Sora wasn't sure what to do. He stared down at his bowl, brow furrowed. He wished he could ask Zexion, or his Father. He wished Riku was here to hold his hand.
