Barty was quite tired this morning. He had a book open upside down on one leg that he had been reading through the night to distract from the...noise coming from the Prince's room.
"Good morning," Barty replied, shifting in his seat and standing up. "Well..." he started, sort of clearing his throat a little. He motioned for Philip to come closer so that he could speak in a very quiet voice.
Generally, Barty checked in with a peek about every three hours, on the hour. To be polite, he usually didn't start checking in until he heard no sound from the room. The two were usually fast asleep on his first check in. Last night, he held off until he heard no sounds for at least two hours.
"I assume they slept quite well," he said quietly. "His Majesty did not seem concerned over discretion last night with his ah...lover." Yeah, he wasn't just his companion anymore, Philip.
