It was kind of scary to Sora. That people would end their lives to protect one that was pretty unworthy of it. Just because he was born their Prince. It sort of made him embarrassed.
The Prince shivered a little then. Only days before he saw little campfires over the wall, little tents, numbers unknown, ready to attack at dawn. It was frightening, especially when they numbered only near eight hundred, many of those young Lords that were scared and possibly ill trained. Perhaps Sora should have them start training with the soldiers in these next few days.
"I do not know," Sora replied quietly. "Father does not send much word from home, it is too dangerous to send a message." It would likely be intercepted. Was the battle raging there? Were they fighting for their lives at this very moment? Was one side close to defeat? Sora didn't know.
"I would just like to enjoy dinner tonight," he informed Riku, nodding as the guard opened their door for them.
