The Prince nodded along. Riku was right of course, he could easily convince Abe that it was a noble and important job. Really, it was. He just didn't want the kid to feel alienated or seen as favored by the other boys even though he was.
Sora noticed he was being directed by Riku off the wall, and he supposed that he could follow. He still wanted to ask him if he was going to leave with Corin to Trabia, but he just couldn't bring it up. "I could never ask for anyone's life in stead of mine," the Prince replied. He had never had to make such a decision and hoped he never did have to. "This war business, it is all very dramatic. It still scares me." Like he was more used to pretending it wasn't there at all. It had never been in the forefront of his mind before now.
"I think the battle will be very soon," he sighed. It was like he could feel it, and so could the Generals.
