"Abe," Riku repeated. He really had to think on that one. "He is just... so young." Not too young, but not quite old enough. Putting him in the fighting, he was likely to get hurt. The enemy was going to be taller than him, older, and stronger than him. He'd be handi-capped regardless of which Galbadian he met.
"I think, if you word it right, he might find guarding your precious sister and lovely Aunt well worthy of a young Lord," Riku said at last. "I have become very fond of him, I would hate to see something happen to him because of an issue of pride."
Riku put his hand gently on the Prince's back to guide him back towards the stairs. They should return to their room and change for dinner soon.
"I think, in someways, being a part of your court is a mixed thing," Riku pondered, "Your court is the one most safe, because you value them the most. But they are also the one most in danger, because we all know that if the time called for it, we must be ready to give our lives if you ask for them or require them for your own protection."
