Riku added the daisies that the ladies had gathered slowly to his crown for the Prince.
If they were home, he should have a much better idea of what to do for the Prince. The Prince might even accept more company... his parents, sister, cousin, Hayner, Namine, and Riku, all for a special dinner with all his favorites prepared. He wouldn't have to be the center of attention, just surrounded by people who loved him. If any gifts were exchanged at all, it could be done privately, where no one had to make a spectacle about it. There could be riding later, and perhaps the Prince would play his violin for him... with no other audience.
But they were not home, and so many of those who should be a part of the Prince's birthday were not here.
"I am just..." Riku sought for the words a little, "So very glad that he exists, I cannot imagine not celebrating the day he was born." The very thought that he had not once existed made Riku want to go and find the Prince and hold him very tightly.
