Not hurt that the Prince didn't follow him, Riku washed his body off, letting his skin soak in the perfumed water as he kept his hair up on top of his head to keep it dry. It had been a stressful evening. He wished that they could just go back to this afternoon when they were making candy, and everyone was in such high spirits and good moods. His Prince had been playful and sweet, and his brother had been helpful and integrated. It felt normal... he and the Prince could act as they wanted, surrounded by family and friends. Why couldn't it always be like that?
If he was free, COULD it always be like that?
Riku finally hauled himself out of the bath when the water began to cool and dressed in the nigh clothes he'd brought into the bathroom with him.
He returned to the room to find the Prince in bed, candles by the table blown out. Riku blew out the other lights as he made his way towards the bed and climbed in after blowing out the last candle so that the only light was that which came in through the window.
