Rowen looked away a little. He'd expected the question sooner or later. Just not so soon. "I don't remember. I was very young when I left Trabia. My accent was made sport when I arrived in Esthar. Now it seems the reverse." His Estharian accent was the odd sounding one.
"If it makes you feel better," Cecil put in, "I don't think you sound like either." Just some weird kind of hybrid of the two.
Yeah, that didn't make Rowen feel any better.
"We've got people from both countries that occassionally visit," Cecil explain how he knew the accents were muddled.
Rowen began moving the wood into the shed, trying to think of something to offer. "Trabia is very warm," he said at last. "I never knew snow until Esthar. The fields grow high, and are full of rabbits and birds that are scared up when you run through the grass."
