Okay folks, the party is today. I know I should have done this earlier but there have been a couple pretty big RL things happening.

I'm totally willing to do a big third person party log, but first I want a place for discussion about events at the party.

For instance, Alex is going to be a dick and Demz is going to push him ~linking~ them into the love spell. You can pretty much do whatever you want to get your characters to fall in love. First person they talk to after drinking the punch, first person they touch, first person they make eye contact with, seriously WHATEVER. It's very loosey goosey.

So, who did your character talk to? Did anyone witness your character do something shocking in the name of ~love~? What were they dressed as if they chose to come in costume? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW.

Alex turns up, not in costume, and spends the first part of the night glaring at people and intimidating the crap out of them. He'll turn up uninvited to conversations and just try and wind people up. When he sees Demz he will make a beeline for her to tease her about the Witch Weekly article. Once they touch (well, she pushes him away), this will turn to intense flirting instead. He won't be able to stop looking at her all night. I imagine (correct me if I'm wrong, Max) they will wind up making out in a darkened corner somewhere.

Demz is in her full beater gear and team colours with super thick black eyeliner and eye black (which she wears in games). She's also wearing a DON'T FUCK WITH ME look. She's pretty much going to stay in the main room on the OPPOSITE side from the DJ, with whom she will make no eye contact (sorry Lee).

She'll just be going through the motions meet-and-greet style. Posing for pictures, autographing stuff, etcetera.

When Alex talks to her and she pushes him, it's going to be a whole new Demelza. She's pretty much going to hold his hand for the rest of the night. And yes, they're going to make-out in a dark corner. And Lee might have to deal with them tonight being all kissy in their apartment. Sorry, buddy.

But no sex on the first date, even under love spell.

Evan is going to be spending the evening serving drinks in the dark fantasies playground. That is, until he decides to try and bit of punch with Sean (they can't work flat out all night...). After that he's going to be a bit distracted. Yeah, yeah, serve yourself, I'm talking to Sean. I imagine long conversations and brushing of each other's fingers, and then holding hands, and then leaving together at the end of the night to go back to someone's place and sit up all night talking, then spooning to sleep. Then in the morning, sex, because you know, morning wood.

Sean is pretty much in devil's horns and not a lot else. He has more on when he's behind the bar, but not a lot more.

After punch, things go pretty much like you said. Sean is a workaholic, though, so he's going to keep working while this is going on. This includes stripping when it's his turn. He's going to be all extra sexy during his dance and making as much eye contact with Evan as possible.

I would prefer they not go to Sean's because Sean really likes Luke and doesn't want to make their budding friendship awkward. He figures Luke might know, but he doesn't really talk about being pan or being a stripper around Luke because he wants to be best buddies forever and ever and doesn't want to freak him out.

Glenys is going to be at Lucy's St. Mungo's party for most of the night, because you know, St. Mungo's. She'll come along for the end of Vic's party to meet some friends (I imagine Vic's party will finish later than Lucy's because Vic is hardcore). She doesn't drink, so she'll be on the non-alcoholic punch. I have no idea why she is linked with Quentin, maybe she is talking to him about his dog and touches him on the arm sympathetically. Glenys in love is a sweet, bashful, embarrassed thing, so expect awkwardness and avoidance of eye contact rather than any outrageous flirting.

Q will probably be at the St. Mungo's party at first too, making nice with people and flirting with old ladies who want to make appointments with him to see their friends and spouses on the other side. So maybe they can strike up a conversation there. He'll be heading to Vic's party earlier than Glenys most likely, but I think they can definitely continue their interaction there. He's pretty pleasant when he isn't trying to get something out of you so maybe they agree to meet up and chat later? He's trying pretty hard to make new friends because all of his loved ones have other people to hang out with now. :(

Q is dressed as himself, But he wears a mask at Vic's because he doesn't want to get kicked out for accidentally on purpose hexing her.

He's pretty much the same. He'll probably try to buy her stuff, because he thinks money is his main charm to people.

	Glenys (pre-potion) isn't sure about Quentin, but she does try to be friendly to everybody, so she'll agree to meeting up to carry on their conversation later. Glenys absolutely does not understand having things bought for her. She is like... oh that's pretty, but couldn't we use the money to help the poor? (Reply to this) (Parent)

Jade turns up with Zoe proudly on her arm and they spend the whole night canoodling and being lovey-dovey. It would be cool if people commented on this before everything goes crazy. We could possibly make Jade indirectly responsible for the love potion debacle somehow... she gives Zoe something to drink from a flask and Zoe decided to put it in the punch? idk if Zoe would do that, though. Romilda is going to be very busy making rude balloon animals all evening. Apparently she doesn't drink on the job. She does notice more people than usual making out, but just puts it down to Halloween high spirits. I think she won't see Jamie/Peter until late in the evening, and when she does I think she will recognise love potion quite quickly, being somewhat knowledgeable about the subject. Far be it from her to intervene, though...

Vic is, of course, the first one there. She has a gold ball of light hovering above her, so people can easily find the host of the party. Other Frobisher employees have smaller pink lights over their heads. Exits have red lights, bars have green lights, etcetera. Every thing is set out so you can find stuff even if you're hammered.

Her costume is a butterfly.

She mostly flits around shaking people's hands and welcoming them. She dances and makes nice with some of the members of the board and other important people. At some point the corners Alex and have a shouted conversation over loud music by the punch bowl, but has to leave because of something or other.

Also, a group of slytherin students try to sneak into the party dressed as dementors and she FREAKS OUT. She pretty much runs and hides behind the bar where Evan is and pretends to not exist until someone tells her they've been escorted out. She doesn't really acknowledge Evan though, because he's her dirty little secret.

After that it's more or less business as usual. She breaks the rules of being a good host and slams three or four shots of tequila and then goes back to schmoozing.

Mel is dressed as a suffragette because she's awesome. She is going to let her hair down a bit at this party as she's been working too hard, so she'll dance a lot and flirt with some dudes. She may also, of course, end up having some very impassioned debates, shouting over the music.

I don't think Mel and Vic know each other particularly well due to the age difference, but they are both Gryffindors so they should be acquaintances at least. Mel will approach Vic to tell her it is a great party and compliment her on her costume etc.

Mel in love is a flirty saucepot. She's a girl who knows what she wants and goes in and gets it. I think kissing by the end of the evening and maybe more afterwards?

	Vic is so into it. She's a flirty saucepot too. I doubt Mel would be as gracious as Evan to her particular form of flirting, though. She demands that people come over for sex a lot. This is Barney's costume, because he is incapable of covering up his chest. He looks a lot better than the guy in the picture in it.

Barney turns up early and is very excitable at everybody. He dances a lot, avoids the dark fantasies area, and blushes at Romilda's balloons. He doesn't tend to drink very much because he doesn't really have any inhibitions to lose, but he'll have a glass of punch and then go to talk to Miles about Quidditch stuff.

Barney in love is even more sweet and excitable than usual, but instead of flitting from one person to another it will alllllll be focused on Miles. Barney's not very sexually predatory so he probably won't initiate anything, even kissing or holding hands (though he would definitely respond if Miles did) but he will definitely arrange for a date the next day.

Miles decided to go like this, because ladies love a man in uniform, even when said uniform is clearly Muggle. He strutted mostly around young ladies who seemed dateless, being his charming jokey self and trying to get lucky. And then he got thirsty and had a chat with Barney. And then he got flirty and even more jokey than usual. He'll try the old your-place-or-mine hint, but will probably be too subtle for poor Barney and will eventually settle for the offer for a next date.

Lee is in the DJ booth dressed like this. He'll drink a little - not much as he's working - but won't be touching anybody for a while due to being in his booth. When he gets a break he goes outside for some fresh air, doesn't see Greg guarding the door and bumps into him. He turns around to either apologise or bitch at him, depending who it is, but instead.... looooooove.

Lee is a charmer, so expect chat-up lines, compliments, and gentlemanly behaviour. When he is finally persuaded to go back and finish his set, he plays a lot of love songs and dedicates every one to Greg.

Greg is not in costume, since he's there to work and doesn't see the need to look anything other than himself in that sort of situation. He still manages to get something to eat and drink when nobody's looking because Goyle will be Goyle and the stomach talks louder than duty.

Greg will be very bashful and blush furiously whenever he looks at Lee, let alone whenever one of those love songs will play.

Yakov opts for a lazy chef costume and spends most of his time drinking wine and sitting in the corner, being pleasant to anybody who comes nearby. I think he can meet Leah at the punch bowl and become linked that way.

Yakov in love is pretty much like Yakov the rest of the time, except that he wants to be constantly in the company of his beloved. He is very amenable and happy to be bossed around. At some point he will ask Leah if he can kiss her, because he is polite.

The good thing about having a comic book artist for a mother is that they always provide good ideas even when the child doesn't follow them. In this case, though, Leah agreed with the suggestion and went as Poison Ivy since the suggested design looked classy rather than revealing. She'll frown when first meeting Yakov, though the love potion will soon change that.

Leah will be even bossier and domineering when in love, mostly because it's an unknown territory for her and she tends to get both aggressive and defensive when facing something unknown. She's not against the idea of being kissed (though terrified she'll be bad at it) but will order Yakov to get a little cleaner first.

Luke goes a little darker with his Luke Skywalker costume this year. Hello, Return of the Jedi.

It would really amuse me if he wandered into the dark fantasies playground room by accident and someone mistook his costume for something more kinky... like the lightsaber is a really long dildo. Luke will run away pretty fast and wind up in the balloon room. Phew! Until Romilda make him a balloon 'sword' and he runs away again. I think he probably leaves early and goes to the St. Mungo's ball instead.
