Cody Bexton
His mother's Citrus Dipping cookies with chocolate dipping sauce Picture is above. However, his cookies weren't so uniformly shaped and his chocolate sauce was a little lumpy. Cody is quite familiar with this recipe, because he's watched his mother make it a million times. However, he's only ever made it with her, so there were portions of the recipe that he had never done on his own. He forgot to bring the butter to room temperature, so he struggled with that in the beginning and he was unintentionally a little heavy-handed with the lime zest. You could still taste the lemon and the orange, but the lime zest hits first and most powerfully. As mentioned above, his chocolate sauce was a little lumpy, but tasted just fine. No accidents! Taste: Solid 8. He's a little unhappy that they didn't come out tasting like he remembered, but still pretty happy with the end product. Inspiration: Cody will admit that he choose the recipe without really thinking about what Essie wanted. It's what he associates with the holidays and choose it mostly for tradition's sake. Plus, he wanted a taste of home, and it was included in Riley's cookbook.
