Over the weekend, Feiyi had borrowed one of Edwin's sweaters while in the library doing a little studying, and though she wanted to hold onto it, she knew it would be best to return the item. As much as keeping his sweater--which smelled delightfully like him--seemed like a movie girlfriend thing to do, Feiyi cleaned the sweater by hand and decided to bring it back to him. But rather than burden him with it during the day, Feiyi decided she'd be sweet and put it right on his bed for him, so he didn't have to worry about carrying around another sweater all day. Because he'd look very silly wearing two sweaters, and it would take up most of the space in his bag if he carried it around!
Once in his dorm, Feiyi glanced around, unable to stop herself from looking at the different living areas of the boys she had gotten to know so well during her time at Hogwarts. Each spot was pretty easy to identify to the correct person, and making Albus's bed with a casual flick of her wand, Feiyi set Edwin's sweater on his bed, patting it lightly with a gentle smile. She smoothed away non-existent creases on his bed, not surprised in the slightest to see that he was the most tidy of his roommates. She couldn't help herself from fussing a little over Sev's bed too, fluffing up his pillows by hand before feeling slightly guilty that she was spending too much time uninvited in their room.
A quick glance at Edwin's desk confirmed that it could use a little straightening up, so she headed over, promising herself that she wouldn't move anything major and only tidy up what was already there. At most she should only spend another few minutes in the room, since she was technically trespassing, even if she was trying to help by cleaning. As she shifted around some parchment, Feiyi caught sight of her name within the words written there. Against her better judgment, she mouthed a silent apology before opening the letter. As she read, Feiyi felt her heart seize up a little bit and she could feel a nervous feeling growing deep within her as she reached the end of the note.
With shaky hands, Feiyi put the letter back in its spot before fleeing the scene. She was so distracted that she bumped into one of the bedposts on her way out with a loud thump, causing her eyes--which were already in danger of tearing up--to water uncomfortably. As she cut through the Common Room, Feiyi kept her head low and retreated to the safety of her bed, deciding she would play sick until she could figure out what to do. She tried very hard to avoid looking up, not wanting to talk to anyone at the moment and knowing that someone would want to chat if they saw how flustered she seemed. The house elves liked her well enough that she could get some food brought up to her if she skipped dinner, which seemed like the most attractive option at the moment. She curled up under the sheets, closing the curtains with a flick of her wrist, pulling her knees up to her chest and eying her journal with some trepidation. Though she knew she shouldn't, her thoughts started to circle around the same issue, and she found herself getting more and more upset as no answer was forthcoming. Now that she'd read it, what should she do?
