Who: Peter (season 4) and Elle (season 3) What: Facing the consequences of their actions When: Morning Where: Peter's Rating: PG?
Peter tried his hand at living on his own, without needing anyone. He tried really hard and he actually liked it. But Elle wouldn't leave him be. Just when things were going right, Elle Bishop had a way of showing up and turning everything on its head. There was a time when he liked that about her. That it was entirely unexpected, unplanned, and strange that she would ever want him. Or that he would ever want her. But just as quick as things began? Oh they were over. Because of this, Peter quickly moved on - to a much plainer, less exciting sort of girlfriend. Well that partially had to do with memory loss as well.
But now that he was here in this place at a time where someone needed him, he didn't know how to react at first. He liked being the person who saved others. The person who's sole job was to save lives - not save them and then nurse them back to well being and then get attached again. It hurt too much when they left. Or died. Whatever.
Elle changed things though, however unintentionally when she got her way. Maybe she was capable of having such a strong human connection and then letting it go at that. Leaving it as nothing more than a one night stand. Peter, on the other hand, made decisions from the heart. Which meant an act like that? It was followed by sincere affection and the occasional devotion. He wanted her now, and he wanted her to want him in return. Plus he was a heck of a lot happier. Which was why he was making cinnamon rolls that morning. She could rest assured knowing it was the kind that was pre-made and he wasn't trying to kill her with his cooking. But still, this was leaps and bounds better than the instant oatmeal he had been making. He even got orange juice, cut up fruit, and they were eating out of actual dishes. Well, not yet because he brought it to her while she was still sleeping. He set down the tray and looked at her. "Elle." He said before kissing her on the cheek, "Elle it's time to wake up."
