"Remy answer the commandment thing first, homme. He's not that big on that particular religion anymore. A long time back, when people were more tribes descended from one or two forefathers and a big ol stew mix of folks, a baby named moses got found by a kings wife. Moses was a child of a tribe the kings tribe had enslaved. The queen, she didn't care, raised the kid as her own. Eventually moses grew up and his tribes God, big g not a little one, came to him and told him to have the king set God's people, Moses's tribe, go. Moses went and did that with some help form God. So moses and his tribe, they went and wandered around this big ol desert for forty years. For some reason people lived longer back then, they just had a bad sense of direction. Eventually the tribe come to a mountain and Moses went up it. God, he talked to moses gave him some big rocks with ten laws on them. Them laws are the ten commandments. Remy never learned them all when he was growing up cause one of them is not to steal and that go against the guild. Course another one is not to kill, but that don't stop my Belladonna's guild none," he rambled, "Catholic is the name of a person that follows Catholicism. God's religion. There be a whole bunch where Remy from. A lot of em older than what God say the earth is. Not that he'd know, God come from the same place everythign else come from and the earth was here before people thought up God and made him come from the dark."
Stopping for a moment to let the other chew on that big mouthful of theology, Remy took the time to think about the first thing he'd asked. Did he want to follow in his fathers footsteps. It was a loaded question.
"That other question you asked. Now that's a bit harder to answer. The man that raised me, he my pere. Not my Father. My Father sired me, my pere raised me. See Remy was born running the street pretty much soon as he hit the ground. Grew up fighting the rats and the less savory things to eat and sleep as best he could. Was a little pickpocket before I met my pere. Remy really bloomed into his potential after his pere scooped him out the gutter," he smiled a rakish smile thinking of the things he did as a young man, he'd never had the luxury of being a child, "Remy wanted to follow in his footsteps."
"Now Remy's father. Well that's a different story. I played his horseman for a while. Death becomes Remy. Guess it's cause the ladies luck and fate take a real liking to this boy. Remy was never asked to follow in his father's footsteps and he never gonna. It's not his nature and all of creation knows it."
(OOC: It's cool, and you'll have to forgive my later reply. I wasn't paying attention.)
