Stargate Atlantis line
Good evening lovely community!
I was wondering if anyone would be up for a line between Sheppard and McKay from Stargate Atlantis; I've been willing to kill lately for a good line between those boys. I can easily play either Sheppard or McKay although really prefer the snarky scientist. Plots can of course be suggested, or if you're already a part of a community as either of the boys I'm certainly more than willing to join.
I usually prefer lines in on-site journals, however can be contacted at this post or by email at tophbox@ymail.com.
The best thing about the Stargate universe is there's just so much to mess with. Let's see what a few things can come off the top of my head.
A lot of these are actually really similar off the themes off world, injured, but I love to mess with anything. We can go from technology, to being captured by Wraith, to be turned into Wraith, to really anything.
1. Your typical lost in an underground collapsed cavern off-world being hunted down by not so friendly natives. Rodney and Sheppard both wounded, trying to survive and reach the gate in time. We can throw in twists such as a natural disaster being about to occur, dinosaurs being on the planet, pretty much just anything you might think up or want.
2. Along similar lines the team off world for a usual meet and greet with a world with interesting plant life, but all goes to hell. We can range from generally the natives becoming panicked, blaming Atlantis for the arrival of a Wraith attack and at the end Rodney becomes poisoned by a dart from these locals. Plot point is Sheppard has to get him to the gate before he dies, leaving them with a window of a few days at most, things looking grimmer and grimmer. We can toss in something such as the gate being buried, leaving the two to stranded.
3. Playing off similar notes as were given in "Phantoms". McKay, Sheppard and the wonderful team arrive at a planet. By day everything seems normal as can be, however as night comes down similar creatures as we witnessed from that episode come out into the night. By night fog is thick although probably not because of the creatures themselves so much as because of the planet. Basically horror/survival/maybe injuries included. I was thinking we could even add in something similar to the book called "Stargate Atlantis: Reliquary" by Martha Wells in which these creatures have the ability to transform humans into their own via bite or the sort that either Rodney or Sheppard could be exposed to. I'm a sucker for that kind of suspenseful "painfully transforming into some kind of dangerous alien animalastic creature" thing.
4. We could play something similar to "Grace Under Pressure" where Sheppard and Rodney shortly after the episode end up once again in a very similar position off world. Could mix with McKay freaking and ranting on such a fresh reoccurring event and irony of it happening again, Sheppard trying to calm the scientist and get their asses back to Atlantis in one piece. They could eventually be rescued by the society that lives there, think they are safe however taken prisoner, given to the Wraith; hell we could go on forever. Love plots that start one place and end somewhere completely different.
5. We could also of course always mess with anything corresponding during or after specific episodes. Such as Tao of Rodney, Doppelganger, The Shrine or the sort, or even take scenes or plots from the episodes and work off from there.
Anyways, over all these are just the few that I got off the top of my head. If you have any other ideas, or ranging ideas, please let me know!
