The Beyonder, a being known to have god like power has ushered in what certain heroes of Earth would call a secret war. But the Beyonder has been caught off guard during his period of rest. A dark rift opened a doorway to the Netherrealm which a dark fallen Elder god used to enter the Beyonder’s presence. The dark lord, with the use of magic, merged with the Beyonder, distorting its god-like power for his own gains.

Lord Shinnok in his weakened state due to the hijacking turned his dark and evil eye to Earth and other planets. With the merger of the two gods, Shinnok began his new-found quest to open the Gates of Chaos and usher in an age of darkness for all in creation. Those with black hearts from all time and space have already sworn allegiance to him.

This disturbance has led to rifts in time and space, bringing people from alternate universes where alchemy is an accepted science and the mystic arts are just as potent here. In the midst of all this, a race of green-skinned humanoids from the Andromeda Galaxy known as Skrulls made themselves known. A fierce warrior race who carved out the oldest surviving interstellar empire in the history of the universe, Skrull science was generally more advanced than that of human civilization. The Skrulls were ruled by an Emperor or Empress who had absolute power.

The Skrulls became aware of Earth when a wormhole was discovered that linked Earth and Throneworld. The Skrulls saw Earth as a world to conquer but held off a full invasion, choosing instead to send a handful of warriors as an advanced scout party to infiltrate the planet. These invaders can mimic human appearance and traits with ease. Their knowledge of human culture and government has giving them the ability to hack into human computer and resource systems. Some Skrulls have even been able to replicate the ability skills and powers of Earth's heroes.

Doors to realms are opened and people are slipping through. In and out. Intergalactic aliens slowly infiltrate earth populace a dark fallen god is messing with the fabric of realty groups like Cobra, Hydra and A.I.M. and other organizations bent on world domination are also active... What will be done? Who notices? What are people doing? What effect are the rifts having on the Earth's natural cycle... You decide!
