How to change the look of a checkmark
This post is for kalloway.
How to change the look of a check mark:
1) You may draw a cool checkmark, store it in your pic account (like Photobucket) and embed that pic in your journal. Unfortunately, it will be gone from your journal if the pic is deleted from Photobucket. If you have your own website and host it on your server, you'll keep this sort of cute utility pics in there in an image directory for your site.
2) Use [ √ ] square root [name:
I used font size="7" to make checkmarks more visible:
√ <font size="7">√</font>
√ <font size="7">√</font>
Using generic fonts:
<font size="7" style="font-family: use_font_name;">√</font>
[Generic fonts should display the same in all browsers-but I am not an expert on that :) I have IE and everything looks OK. No idea how any of this will look in Firefox and others. Cursive and Fantasy look pretty good from my end. Sans-serif, Serif and Monospace look the same.]
√ Serif
√ Sans-serif
√ Cursive
√ Fantasy
√ Monospace
