Severus read over his card one more time and frowned. There was a vague feeling of ... not really remembrance, but ... something; some names struck something inside him that felt correct, but beyond that, he wasn't able to decide if what was on the card was true or not. At this point, he thought the card could have been a complete lie and he wouldn't have known the difference, but it was all he had to go on.
His name was Severus Snape and he was a wizard. That was all he could wrap his mind around at the moment.
He had dressed in the trousers and a long sleeve t-shirt he had found in some of the drawers, but they felt strange. Everything felt strange, though, so he wasn't completely surprised. The one comfort he had found was his wand. That felt right, and he slid it into his pocket before standing up. Smoothing a hand down his chest and stomach self-consciously, Severus stood in front of the mirror looking generally displeased. Something was very wrong, he was sure of it.
Exhaling a sigh, he left his room and was moderately disturbed when he passed someone in the hall. He had no idea who the other man was, but apparently they lived together. Shoving his hands into his pockets, shoulders hunching together, he resolutely made his way down the stairs and into the outside world. He had a destination in mind, but it took him longer than it should have to find it given that absolutely nothing in this damn town felt familiar. He wondered if he had been here long. Was he going to wake up every day with a blank mind? There were too many questions and while he doubted he would actually find answers in the library, that was where he ended up never the less.
Stepping into the building, he glanced around, hoping something would spark recognition and feeling frustrated when it didn't happen. Annoyed, he began to slowly explore the library in search of ... anything.
