FCU was known for going all out when it came to their events and the "Back to School" mixer was no exception. The basketball court was unrecognizable having been converted into a dance floor complete with a DJ booth where one of the more popular DJs from WFCU was spinning a mix of dance music with the occasional slow song tossed in just for flavor.
The recreation room had been converted into a games room for the night, hosting various activities such as a darts tournament, a pool tournament, several different card games, and even a table that was various boardgames such as LIFE and Monopoly, all of which gave students and staff alike the opportunity to not only mingle and get to know one another, but to also win cash and other prizes.
The snack bar had been converted to host an array of food and refreshments, all catered in by one of the best available, with tables set up in the area for people to sit down, relax, and enjoy a bite to eat with one another. The juice bar had even been converted for the night into a bar serving adult beverages to those aged 21 and up. And the lobby area had been converted into a lounge with several large couches and chairs strewn about, the area dimly lit to allow for intimate conversation amongst friends.
