[info]_devyn
Who: Devyn Fairfax and Ophelia Sinclair
When: Evening
Where: Devyn's apartment
What: Pizza delivery

Devyn hadn't exactly expected for anyone to jump for joy at the prospect of helping out a pregnant professor, so she was pretty excited that she had at least one offer. And the prospect of a homemade pizza that wasn't terribly bad for her but would help with the cravings she always seemed to have had her stomach growling most of the afternoon.

The move across country had been stressful. She was far too pregnant to fly so she'd had to take the train which had taken a whole lot longer than a trip by plane would have. Couple that with the fact that the motion of the train had kept her sick for most of the trip, she was more than a little worn out. And stressed. An earlier conversation had her on edge tonight as she waited for some news that could have a potentially huge impact on her life going forward. All of this combined had led her to the decision to put off any more unpacking for the day and opt instead for a long soak in a hot tub while she waited for Ophelia to show.

Even now, at seven months along and with a huge baby bump to show for it, she had a hard time wrapping her head around the fact that she was pregnant. Motherhood was something she had thought about often back when she had been married, but after her marriage to JD had fallen apart, the idea of having a child had also fallen along the wayside and she had adjusted to the idea that motherhood probably wasn't in the cards for her. And now, here she was, finally having landed the job of her dreams only to have wound up accidentally knocked up following a drunken one-night stand with the very last person she ever thought she'd end up in bed with. God had a really strange sense of humor now and then.

[info]_devyn
Who: Devyn Fairfax and Chris Mansfield
When: Saturday, 9/28/13 - Very Early Morning, as in shortly after 1am on Friday night.
Where: FCU Grounds then Chris' Apartment
What: Devyn needs to expend some energy.
Rating: TBD

It was late. Devyn had sent her last email to Lucas just after one. But her mind was still hung up on the long, roller coaster ride of a conversation that she had just had with her ex-husband not too long ago. There was no way she was going to be able to go to sleep right now, not until she exhausted some of the energy that she had welling up inside of her. And considering that she had to be on the soccer pitch at 9 o'clock in the morning, she really needed to figure out a way to get some sleep. The way she saw it, there were two options. She could either drink herself to the point of passing out and then suffer the consequences of a monster hangover in the morning or she could go out for a late night run and hope that she would wear herself out in doing so.

Tugging on a hoodie and her running shoes, Devyn pocketed her keys and her cellphone before heading out of her apartment. The good news was, since it was a Friday night and she was on a college campus, the chances of people still being out and about were pretty high so she wouldn't have to feel quite so odd about being out and about on the grounds this late at night though she was fairly certain she would be the only person jogging at this time of nice.

The air was chilly once she finally made it outside but she appreciated the way that it felt, having always adored the feel of autumn in the air even if the temperatures were a bit cooler here than what she was used to having only living in California and Nevada for her entire life. She stretched a bit first and then she hit the ground running, finding a good pace, fast enough to get her blood pumping and to be just taxing enough to hopefully help her in exhausting herself into sleeping tonight.

Devyn followed the footpath from in front of her building over to the graduate dorms and then down towards the campus mall before she decided to take a short breather. Slowing to a walk and inhaling a few deep breaths, she retrieved from her pocket the bottle of water that she had brought along with her and took a few sips. Already she was starting to think that maybe she should have just drank herself into a stupor instead.
