"And...my day just got worse," Effie muttered, before silencing her com, not wanting to deal with the running comentary that her father appearing might cause. She took off at a run, jumping off the roof of the building, the rush of wind past her making her smile.
She fell, further and faster then intended, just barely able to slow her momentum with a shot into the dark, the small hook catching the edge of a gargoyle, allowing her to bounce gently off the side of the building, landing in a silent crouch behind the green car.
She used the cover of someone else exiting the vehicle to silently rise up, mask removed, her trademark red hair barely visible under the cap she wore. Between the black cargo pants and black crop top, she could easily be any of the number of twenty-something club goers around, though in a bit of a hurry as she tried to blend in and escape notice.
And she was really regretting not parking closer to the building she had been scouting.
"Is there a reason we're being followed?" Jonathan asked as he leaned closer to Edward's ear, not noticing the bat above, but the curious woman who just fell from the sky. He didn't think Edward had missed someone jumping off the building, but he could never be sure when the redhead was preening.
