There was no way. No. Way. Genma surged against the dog's chakra, tearing himself up with a wild twist. The dog fought back, tendrils of chakra turning into stabs that penetrated deeply into muscle, almost to bone. Genma lashed out with one free fist, striking the dog's flank as hard as he could. That earned him a yelp that turned into a growl. He kicked, gasping for a breath, grabbing for chakra that would not come thanks to the seal.
"You bastard!" he raged. "You traitorous son of a whore!" Adrenaline compensated for chakra, and he lurched free, screaming at the raw wake of chakra that clawed at his back. The dog howled and barked, and the world spun in a dizzying spiral. Kakashi's weight smashed into him, pinning him to the leaf-strewn, muddy, forest floor. Kakashi's hand clamped over Genma's mouth, forcing his jaws shut with a chakra-enhanced blow that snapped teeth together, rattled bones. Shook the headache back to life.
Genma convulsed under Kakashi, but with his chakra sealed he was too weak. Too weak and oh god, oh god his head. His thrashing turned from purposeful to non, died away to groaning shudders.
It smelled just like it had when Kobo had died. When Iwa ninja had ambushed them, severing Kobo's head, driving Genma and Seijuro finally to the ground. His eyes rolled, showing whites. Kakashi glared at him from inches away, completely controlling him.
He'd let himself in for this. He'd let Kakashi do that jutsu last night. Taught him how to do it. And asked him to slap that chakra seal on his neck. What had Kakashi said? He didn't kill teammates? No, he just handed them over to others to do the killing for him. |
