Genma set his cup down and really looked at Haruichi. Heard something in the way Haruichi said 'home', that held a kind of leaden sadness. "You're not talking about going home to Hoshi, are you?"
He'd never heard Haruichi talk about his original home much. Maybe a few brief words, in passing. Talking about his cousin who had been Genma's sister's classmate. His cousin who had died for him. His room had held photographs of a few Hyuuga whom Genma had always assumed were Haruichi's parents and his deeply-mourned cousin, but he'd never been able to ask. And then Haruichi had disappeared.
The Hyuuga elders had told Genma Haruichi was dead.
