Kiba slouched a little in Ibiki's arm, his totally reasonable point about how he hadn't seen anyone go in there, he'd smelled them and you couldn't smell rank, now defeated by the fact that he wasn't a ninja.
Yet.
"I could'a gotten out," he muttered sulkily, refusing to meet Ibiki's gaze. Then, louder, he continued, "An' someday I'm gonna be the best ninja, an' I'll be clan Alpha for everyone, even the Hokage, an' I'll kill all the bad guys an' my home will be in there 'cause I'll be daimyo of the forest." He paused, eyed Ibiki, and added, "An' I won't let you in there." |
