Amphetamines. Amphetamines and "something else."
Katsuko ground her teeth together. Drug use in ANBU wasn't uncommon--you could get away with it as long as it didn't interfere with your mission capabilities. She wasn't sure how overdosing on homemade drugs in order to complete the mission went in the scope of things.
"Where did you get--" she cut herself off abruptly, started again, "How long have you been using them? Those pills? Have you overdosed before?"
Frustration vaulted her out of her chair and sent her pacing around the room, running her hands through her tangled hair. "Gods, Ryuichi, you know what shit like that does to your system. I just--" |
