“You’ll survive,” Ryuichi said, right before things went from messed up to straight from fucking hell. When the fighting crashed into their midst, he did what any reasonable ninja would do and got clear of the danger zone.
Regroup, rethink this. That’s what they needed to do. Something had gone wrong—Ryuichi didn’t know when or how, only that it had. Then the smoke came and he couldn’t see a damn thing. He could hear just fine though, and knew suddenly when a shinobi suddenly screamed and a blast of hot chakra ripped through the air.
“Katsuko! Where the fuck are you?”
His eyesight was bad enough as it was. Much as he wanted to fight, Ryuichi couldn’t risk running in blind. Not now, when he thought he’d seen the white armor unique to ANBU. If he killed a fellow agent, no one would forgive him, least of all Ryuichi himself. |
