"It's the only way," Haruichi said firmly, as if those words and that fact would simply make the argument he almost felt too tired to put into words again. He bit the inside of his cheek to keep from sighing, and met Tsume's eyes firmly. "What you feel right now is proof that you'll be alright," he said, gesturing to the swirl of chakra links between them that they all knew were there. "But it's too early to risk prolonged and full-strength exchanges between you. It isn't just the potential for the rot jutsu to still be malingering in one of you, it's a risk of over-stressing your systems after they've been separated for so long."
Haruichi held out his left hand into the air between the three of them, and let the bluish-lilac of the jyuuken glow on his hand. "I'll partially seal the points with the jyuuken, then I'll apply medical chakra stitches to hold the seals on a time release over three weeks. One by one they'll break away, as time goes by and we're more certain that you're safe. And while these are working, there'll be no chance of a flare up of the rot jutsu seriously injuring either of you before you can get to a hospital and be checked. You'll be safe."
