His hostess didn't doubt him, she knew that look. Haruichi had come home wearing it a few times already, and when Genma's red-cheeked face peered back she had the same quietly sympathetic half-smile on her face that her fiance would receive.
She reached over to ruffle Pika's ears, and then sketched out another note for her guest.
--If we had a couch you could have a nap on it. You look like somebody should be yelling at you for leaving your flat, too.--
After passing it to him, and letting him read it, Hoshi held up a hand to sign for him to stay put for a moment. She was pretty certain he could understand that, and at any rate her meaning was clear when she padded through to the bedroom and came back with a cushion for him.
--Have a rest if you want. It'll work out nicely. When Haruichi comes back, he'll have to stay inside and look after you, being your doctor and everything.-- |
