Genma didn't bother hiding the stiffness in his injured leg as he lowered himself to the floor to join his hosts. Haruichi obviously had spotted the limp, or something that made him think Genma was in no position to be criticizing. Maybe the chakra-drain? Could he see that with his Hyuuga eyes?
"And I mean it. What the hell kind of heroics and stupidity did you get involved in that got you so messed up? You're the medic for fuck's sake. You're never supposed to get hurt." The hypocrisy in that little tirade could easily have choked a horse, seeing as technically, Genma was also a medic. But a field medic was nothing like the real thing. Not like Haruichi, he told himself.
"All I know is, you go haring off after Kakashi, next thing I hear you're in hospital and so's he. Of course he's a masochistic little bastard and always gets himself there, and usually half his team. But you shouldn't have gotten hurt."
