"I'm only bossy when you're being stupid," Genma returned blandly, and took one of the cakes. Raidou was still acting like he'd just found out he was supposed to get a prostate exam at his next physical. Or maybe he'd been given one rather ungently in the course of having his back stitched. Whatever it was, something was clearly bothering him.
"And I'm not going out again probably until Haruichi clears me. So that'd be.... tomorrow? If he's pissed at me. More likely a few days yet."
He pushed the plate of cakes closer to Raidou, then picked up his tea and watched his friend. There was none of the usual ease to his posture. No hint of a smile, even at his lame joke.
"Are you okay? I'm pretty sure it's not my playing Mother Medic that's bugging you, because I do that whenever you get hurt. You're used to it."
