For a wavering moment, Raidou was seriously tempted; his current perch wasn't exactly a paragon of comfort, and Genma's fussing with covers and pillows had made an inviting nest right next to his friend--whoa fella. He shook his head with a quick jerk. "I'm fine here, kid. Better for my back if I stay upright. Hurts more, I won't argue, but decent posture will help it heal better--"
Genma was giving him a seriously dubious look. Raidou switched topics before he got called on the lie. "Senbon would be great. Well, not great because ow." His mouth twisted up, slashing a wry smile. "But better than resorting to a medic's needle." |
