"Uh..." His instant reaction--to brag that he could go as far as the other shinobi, Raidou, could--was smothered quickly. "Maybe... halfway through the city?"
He didn't miss the careful movement, or the way the other ninja held a hand over his back. Weren't you supposed to treat wounds as soon as you could? Wasn't that one of the cardinal rules? They seemed pretty safe down here--safe enough for a bandage job...
"But--we gotta stop and get--" his blush returned, full force, and he busied himself pulling on his shirt so he didn't have to think about it. "There's, uh, film in, y'know, the bedroom. I don't think they got it..." He hoped not. If he'd gone through all this crap and they still had to scrap the mission...
"They--they didn't even ask about it. They thought I was an assassin." He rolled his eyes. "As if I'd'a let him stick his fat tongue down my throat--" He stopped, cringing, staring down at his bare feet. "Anyway. There's film I gotta grab, and--you sure we shouldn't like, bandage that before we go? I mean, no one's here..." |
