"I'm pretty sure the gloves'll wash," Raidou said cheerfully. "Just needs a bit of thread work for that slit, and good as new."
Now the kid was looking at him--just for a second. Raidou smiled to himself and twisted the lockpick. He was rewarded with a quiet click as the manacle dropped off Kaito's wrist, baring a chafed band of skin and some deep bruising.
With any luck, those and the rest of the punch-marks over the kid were the only injuries.
He attacked the second manacle, working quicker now he had the hang of the mechanism. "And it's not bad. Just a flesh wound, I think. So it probably will be fine with some thread work. What about you? Anything I need to know about?" |
