Kaito took a breath and released it slowly. "Hi." His eyes widened and he rocked back, holding both hands up in a 'wait' gesture. "Don't hug me." The collar tugged. His earlier certainty proved completely true, as blood rushed into his face and he winced with embarrassment.
Which meant he felt worse. Which meant hugging was more likely. Damn it. "My pants are up there," he said, pointing. "Could you, maybe--?" His voice broke.
