"She's not that heavy," Ryouma objected, turning sideways. The backs of his thighs hit the edge of the bed; he dropped onto a tangle of sheets, and spared one hand to sweep an abandoned IV line away. "Course, you're a light-weight yourself..."
He was still trembling. She said safe, and smiled, but if he touched her again--
If she could bear it, he could, too.
He reached up and took her. One hand behind the shoulders, pressing against warm skin through thin cloth. One under the legs, cradling the long smooth lines of her smock-covered thighs. She made a small, warm noise and nestled unexpectedly against his chest. His back hit the pillow; the bedsprings squeaked.
"You gained weight," Ryouma told her, through the first brimming tingles of hysteria. |
