There--the man was there, coming at him like a vengeful god, face masked white, sleek muscles bunching.
Shiki smiled.
Apparently Tousaki and this one were friends.
He nearly sang through the seals, watching as geysers twisted and boiled, streaming after the man with the sword. "Tousaki-kun was very helpful to us. We appreciated his cooperation." He danced back as water spilled across the ground, giving them an inch of liquid to splash through.
Lightning crackled, and he waited for the ninja to come closer.
"He lasted through the first hour. After that, though, he was more than willing to talk. You take away a man's testicles..." They'd done no such thing. But if it made this ninja angry, or made Tousaki come out--all of that was for the good.
Lightning slithered through the water spouts and around them, slowing the shinobi's progress as he ducked. Shiki waited for him to step into the bog. Even jounin made mistakes, sometimes. |
