Raidou's lips twitched in the shadow of a lopsided smile. "Yes, little boss ma'am. Right away." He bowed formally, and kicked Tsume's former cushion-nin neatly aside, drawing a low groan from the man. "And you shut up," he added, voice laced with tired black humour. "The princess-boss here needs her beauty sleep."
He dodged Tsume's half-hearted cuff with more luck than actual skill, and folded himself into the corner. It wasn't comfy, and it didn't put him in a place where he could really guard her side against the rest of the room, but it was better than nothing. And he wasn't sitting on cold stone.
Raidou yawned, cracking his jaw, and leaned his head back against the wall. "I draw the line at letting you have my sweater for a pillow," he mumbled, "just so you know. I'm not that nice." |
