Being Benjamin Franklin
Who: Rian & Reed
What: The Electricity Experiment
When: Thursday, late morning
Where: Park off of the town square
Status/Rating: Complete/Language/SFW
When Rian got bored or stressed back on Earth (HER Earth, mind you --fucking monkey balls of horseshit that was, multiple Earths), she played videogames. Typically first-person-shooter varieties. Ones that she was able to completely veg out to. Where she was able to turn her always-working brain off for a bit. Blowing zombies and monsters to bits, watching their body parts and blood spray all over the screen.
There were no videogames here. At least that she had seen. And the televisions were laughable.
So what did a scientist do on Wonderland when she was bored, stressed about this weird decay shit, and had no friends? She recreated experiments of times long ago, of course. Since they were sort of living in times long ago, it made perfect sense in her mind. And given the fact that it looked like it was going to thunderstorm all-day, she had decided to run with Benjamin Franklin's Kite Experiment.
It wasn't all that hard to make a kite. And aside from that, she needed a wire to attach to its end, a key, and the components to create a Leyden jar. All available from that lovely little store in town, which accepted her FitBit for everything she required. There was no fucking point to having it anyway, considering the time and steps seemed to be all messed up here. And no matter how many times she tried to re-set it to Wonderland time, it refused to obey. And it constantly thought she was walking 30,000 steps a day. Ha!
Out she went in a lull, where it was merely drizzling instead of drenching.. clad in a parka (again, from that store --they had also given her an insulated backpack, lunch, jeans, and a cute pair of earrings for that little wrist accessory, thank you very much). She made her way to the park just off the town square and began to set everything up, waggling her eyebrows at the approaching dark clouds.
"Mr. Franklin, here we come," she mumbled, sliding the key onto the string.
