Rena could only nod, turning the possibilities over in her head. It was true that there were few people that Bridget had ever encountered that the girl didn't take to instantly; it was difficult for a good-intentioned person to upset her so much that she couldn't forgive. In a way, that was a good thing for Bridget was a happy girl. Rena would have to put aside her own reservations, at least in Bridget's presence.
"Every girl deserves a mother," Rena uttered simply, realizing that no amount of arguing was going to change this situation. Besides, Bridget would likely be rising shortly and the last thing Rena wanted was to be having this discussion when the child entered the room. Instead, she'd just finish her breakfast and head home to clean up before her shift at the pub.
