Thomas couldn't help but laugh, though softly, not wanting to offend Vaan. "Love can certainly cause anxiety," he admitted, clearly amused. "As to your elders, I would personally be quite quick to tell them where to take their stuffy ideals. Love isn't- and shouldn't be- something dictated by a rule book." He paused again, looking out across the empty common room for a moment and then back to Vaan. "Love is tricky," he agreed- that was easy enough to confirm. "But that warmth in your chest, in your heart, caused by another person? It isn't always something easily defined or explained, but love is the greatest feeling in the world." Maybe it wasn't fair to say that if it wasn't something Vaan could experience, himself, but Thomas wasn't one to lie.
