Penny blinked in surprise as the entire character of the afternoon seemed to change, becoming far less ominous by the moment. Copper, too, seemed a bit uneasy and she pulled a bit at the reins, reminding Penny of where she was. The problem was that Penny hadn't the faintest idea where that happened to be.
"I... I think I'll be all right," she replied, stroking Copper's neck to comfort herself as much as the mare with the familiar action. "If you would be so kind as to point me in the right direction to go home, though, I'd be much obliged. I live just outside of Greenville, on the Brisbois Estate, if you know where that is."
