Era stood stunned. She had been human all of several minutes. There had barely been any time to really understand what that meant. And she had been going about it wrong, trying to dissect it from an intellectual, analytical angle. That changed when Emi hugged her.
Caught by wonder and open curiosity, she forgot her manners and didn't ask. Era brushed her hand over Emi's and then drew it close to her nose to carefully examine each of her fingers. The ground, the cloak around her, those had felt different. But touching someone else... Human hands were so very sensitive. Her mind was set whirling just by the experience. "You're warm," she remarked. It didn't really convey what she wanted it to, but it was impossible to put all that into words at the moment. Dragons most certainly did not do this.
