"That was fantastic," the dragon said enthusiastically. "I don't know why you keep insisting you can't tell stories. You did very well. No one's told me a story in..." Her demeanor changed. One moment Era was bubbly; the next she was sad. Solemnly she finished. "In a really long time."
"I guess I could try to get a copy." Just how she was supposed to do that, she didn't know. But she wasn't going to flaunt her ignorance.
"Do you know any more stories?" The dragon pushed, afraid that now Penny had stopped she would leave. And Era really didn't want her to do that. She wanted to talk. "Or...or magic? I could show you some magic, if you like?" There were a few small things Era could manage. Sometimes even as she intended.
