Era settled comfortably with her legs tucked up by her sides as she listened to the woman speak. It was a woman, the dragon knew that much. She thought it very magnanimous of herself that she was so patient while it spoke. Era listened and didn't interrupt or twitch or anything.
When the creature paused and fell silent, Era answered her as patiently as she could. However, she was somewhat irritated that the woman should so blithely assume that Era wouldn't care. Her tail twitched in suppressed aggravation.
"Well," she tried to remain reasonable, but she was offended. "You are small. And you seemed to be in trouble." Era fidgeted. Her voice suddenly became obviously vulnerable. "And you seemed very alone. You shouldn't be alone. Especially not if you're in danger. Are you lost?" The dragon nervously curled her long tail around her and bit at the tip of it.
