Edric laughed silently, trying to do a decent bow to match Angie’s curtsy. It was awkward and unpracticed. No one could ever describe Edric as graceful, and he did not expect them to.
Edric frowned. “No, hunting is my occupation.” None of the nobles would allow their sons to be hunters, it was a job for the peasants. It was highly unlikely, even if said brother was a second or third son. Had his initial presumption been wrong? Was Angie from a modest family as himself? Edric decided to pursue the subject, trying to figure her out.
“What does your brother do?” he asked with genuine interest and an encouraging smile.
