If it were any other person who had caused all this mayhem, perhaps Edric would have lost his temper then and there. But as he stared down at the delicate-looking woman, all he could think about was thank the Lord, she landed on my furs lest she break her neck. With that thought in mind, he bent down and moved the pieces away.
"It's fine. There was not much business done today anyways," Edric took her hand and started touching along her arm. He hoped she had not broken anything. "Are you hurt?"
If he had known who the lady was, he probably would not have been so bold. But he had torn her dress, he at least needed to make sure she was completely unharmed. He guessed that the dress was now unsalvageable, and she would now need to buy a new one.
