"It is enough," Owen insisted, quickly- he didn't want her to feel that she was lacking in some (or any) way, especially not when he hadn't expected her help in the first place. She had every right to turn him away for the news he'd brought, but she hadn't- and whether she wanted to hear it or not, he was grateful for that.
He was mindful, too, of Domenic's words- to watch out for her. The 'her', Owen had no doubt, was Gabrielle. While he knew he couldn't protect her physically (now, at least), perhaps simply staying with her and allowing her to help as she could- perhaps that would help her. It seemed a fair idea, at least.
