Penny let Dara join her littermates and rose to her feet to follow her sister. She brushed off her skirts out of habit, straightening them as she walked toward the home that Gen and Julius had made for themselves.
Of course, Penny didn't expect it to compare to their parents' house, not given the circumstances under which they had been married, but she had prepared herself for that. While it had been hard for her, she had come to terms with the lifestyle Gen had chosen for herself and promised herself she wouldn't judge anything too harshly.
"If it makes you happy, then it's perfect," Penny informed her sister with conviction. After all, it was Gen's life to live.
