Penny regarded Gen's serious expression, the way she chewed her lower lip. It was reassuring to know that despite her marriage and relative estrangement from the family (well, their mother at least), Genevieve still took their own relationship so seriously. It truly meant a great deal to Penny to have that reassurance. "I don't think that," she assured Gen sincerely. A slow smile crept over Penny's face. "You're right, we're twins. I guess that means we're stuck with each other!"
While Penny had no basis to compare, she liked to imagine that the fact that she and Gen had been in the womb together gave them a special sort of closeness despite their differences. After all, she didn't share nearly such a bond with Bernard and she and Bernard could be said to be similar in many ways.
"No matter what, I won't let anything come between us," she promised more seriously. "And I'll try not to get sick so I can visit more!"
