"I hope so," Penny said, sighing happily. "It's so pretty here, Gen. I mean, I believed you when you told me it was beautiful but I couldn't quite picture it. It really is as lovely as you said. It's so peaceful here." Penny had always lived in a large house full of people, the family and the servants, people always coming and going. Penny had never even been able to imagine any other sort of life but being at Gen's new home gave her an idea of what life was like away from all that, without people around watching everything, without the constant bustle and commotion.
Perhaps Penny wasn't the sort to consider life without all those luxuries but for the first time, she could see the appeal it had for her sister, who had never quite been able to contain her energy in a place where someone was always watching. This sort of place seemed to suit her sister.
